I grew up in Orlando and Winter Park, FL and just recently moved to Tampa in March '12. I was home schooled for 10 years (I've heard all the jokes and made a few myself) and loved it, then went on to a community college for two years. I chose to take classes that interested me instead of a bunch of pre-reqs, which means I didn't graduate with a BA, I just had a blast learning.

Out of college I had no idea what to do, so I started painting. In 2004 I began selling my paintings on ebay just to see what would happen and quickly gained a following of repeat buyers and enough sales to put off getting a "real job". My work at that time was in acrylics and mainly pop culture subjects (some examples are here).

I got a retail job in '06, married in '08, dabbled in photography, had a baby in January '11, and then took my son and left his father the following July when I realized it was no longer safe for us to be around him (that is the really really short version of events that spanned five years).

I began creating and selling digital artworks on Etsy in 2010 when I began my series of Rock Star Scientists prints. They really started taking off and now creating new work and maintaining my Etsy shop is my full time job. I try to constantly produce new work every week, so if you like my work, the best way to keep up to date is to "Like" my Facebook page and you can see new projects as soon as they are online :)
